The Science

 

Ketosis is a natural metabolic state that your body enters when it doesn't have enough carbohydrates to burn for energy, so it starts breaking down fats instead. When you're in ketosis, your liver converts fats into ketones which become the body's primary fuel source, you can check your ketone count with keto test strips, the darker the colour on the test marker, the more fat you are burning, this will keep you motivated & focused. This process can help with weight loss because it forces your body to burn stored fat for energy rather than relying on sugars from carbs. As a result, many people following a ketogenic diet experience rapid weight loss. However, it's important to note that being in a state of ketosis isn't necessarily a guarantee of weight loss - you still need to consume fewer calories than you burn to see results, combined with exercise. And while some people swear by the keto diet for shedding pounds, ( mainly water loss in the first 3 days, NOT fat), others find it difficult to maintain long-term due to its restrictive nature. Ultimately, whether or not ‘Ketosis’ helps you lose weight depends on various factors such as your individual metabolism and overall lifestyle choices.

 

To understand this process, you need to research into the science & experiment with recipes to see what works for you, Just remember, 'Keto' does actually work, I have followed a 'Keto' diet for over 30yrs.

A ketogenic diet – or keto diet – is a low carb, high fat diet. It can be effective for weight loss and certain health conditions, which I have been following for the past 20 years.

Imagine a diet you can cook with butter and have a ‘Fry Up’ every day! No, I couldn’t believe it either, sI thought, try all this ‘Protein’ and ‘Fat’ for a week, what harm could it do?? 30 years on, I am so glad I took the plunge! Myth's about this type of diet producing ‘high cholesterol’, well I can say that mine is a little on the low side, and I have never had any issues with cholesterol.

Anyway, I decided to finally do something for me, why not pass on all my knowledge and experience to others?, who are skeptical  like I was, not wanting to take the plunge, feeling unsure whether this is the right way to go,  or enrol in any of the other ‘Diet Programs’ out there. 

All I can say is, my advice, give it a go, yes really, this works!  Make sure to follow instructions, all allowed ingredients, and take note of the 'hidden sugars', learking where you wouldn’t think they would be! You will feel more 'energetic' and less 'hungry,' I promise, along with moderate exercise you will see thrilling results!

 

 

 


A ‘Ketogenic diet should consist of about 60–80% fat, 10–30% protein, and no more than 5–10% — or 20–50 grams — of carbs per day. Focus on high-fat, low-carb foods like eggs, meats, dairy and low-carb vegetables, as well as sugar-free beverages. Be sure to limit highly processed foods and Tran’s fat’s.

My Recommended Products Which I Use.

My advice on using the Eveline Creams, measure the area’s of your body where you will be applying these creams, after one week, check your measurement’s, you will be surprised at the readings!  Apply all creams in a circular motion over the problem area’s. These creams are ‘Fantastic’ and actually do what they say advertised.

Teamed Cellulite Massager…… Go careful on your first use, it’s easy to get carried away and press too firmly than you should, it can cause bruising and sensitivity, but used correctly in conjunction with the cream you will soon be noticing a significant change. ‘Allowed’ Foods

Meat

  • Beef, chicken, lamb, pork, veal, venison, etc
  • Cured Meats, ie Salami, chorizo, Parma ham etc
  • Fish
  • All fish but not coated! Cod, basa, plaice, haddock, salmon, trout, tuna(not canned, fresh)  etc
  • No seafood sticks! (Full of hidden fat)
  • All Shellfish
  • Dairy
  • All cheese including Plain Cottage Cheese
  • Nuts
  • All, but not coated and not mixed with fruit!(watch out for extra sugar in these!)
  • Green Veg
  • Peppers, white onions, spring onions, cucumbers, courgettes, celery, kale, sprouts, fennel, lettuce, tomatoes in moderation
  • All mushrooms
  • And Strictly NO POTATOES!( 1 small baked potato is 35g of carbs!!) you will be following a limit of under 20g of carbs per day.

 

‘Non’ Allowed Foods

  • Grains 
  • including pasta & gnocchi 
  • Starchy vegetables and high-sugar fruits (ie potatoes, parsnips, sweet potatoes)
  • Sweetened yogurt
  • Juices
  • Honey, syrup or sugar in any form
  • Fresh fruit juice
  • Chips and crackers
  • Baked goods including gluten-free baked goods.
  • Pastry, bread, wraps
  • Rice, lentils
  • ANY CHOCOLATE, sorry!
  • No Ice Cream either.
  • Cereal Bars, Cereals, definitely not
  • Wheat Biscuits

  • N.B all above with no milk or sugar, just black

  • Sugar Free tonic/lemonade or coke ( include carb & sugar content in your daily allowance if you drink))
  • No milk, milkshakes, iced coffees!

My Snack Recommendations

 

  • Sugar free jelly & double cream
  • Celery topped with peanut butter
  • Devilled eggs ( boiled egg, scoop out middle, mix with mayo and chives, chilli flakes, paprika and grated gruyere cheese, re-fill middle of eggs and top with spring onions)
  • Baked Eggs (crack 1 egg into a buttered ramekin, salt and pepper, top with double cream, cover with grated gruyere cheese and bake in oven for 15 mins, enjoy!)
